Default Question for people who have installed the JDM EG6 into their hatchbacks.

ok, this question is for the people who have installed the JDM EG6 rear interior into their car. I'm having trouble finding a safe and secure way of mounting the rear side seat brackets. My initial idea was to remove the gas tank and weld some nuts on the underside of the floor pan, giving me a nice secure way of mounting the rear side seat brackets. Well, today I pulled the gas tank. I saw that the gas tank wasn't as wide as the distance between my seat brackets so I thought I would be even better thatn I thought. At least I thought so. I looked at my car to see where the bolts would come through and relized it would come through into the inside of the frame rail. Thats my fault for not thinking of that sooner. So now I can weld the mounting nuts for the center bracket but I need to find a new way to mount the side brackets.

If you have put this interior into your car then you should know exactly what I'm talking about. Please help me out and tell me how you safely and securely mounted your side seat brackets.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Ummm, welding is the only safe way unless you don't want anyone to sit back there.

But if you weld the side seat brackets to the floor pan then how will you remove the seats later to remove the side panels to get to things like the speakers?

Thats not an option. This will either be functional or nothing at all. And seeing as how I actually use my rear seat, I need to find a solution.
