RPM problem
Goodday folks,
It used to rev 2500rpm to maintain 100km/h. Recently this happens only 1/10 times.
Remaining 9/10 times it revs 2750rpm to maintain 100km/h.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I'm sure A/C has impact on RPM but not as much as 250rpm at 100km/h.
An hour ago I revved on D3 to 5500rpm then shifted to D4 and it gave me 2500rpm at 100km/h again. Slowed down to 60km/h then sped up to 100km/h, again at 2750rpm or equivalent to 60mph@3250rpm.
Need some sort of tuning I guess? Thought the mechanic already done that couple of weeks back.

Nope, no tire/rim change. If I were to get larger rims/tires, shouldn't RPM be lower for the same speed instead?
Thanks for the thought!!

Where's the idle sensor? This sensor has effect even when the car is running? Sorry I'm still learning!
Thanks!

Hi,
More unusual behavior found.
When I release accel pad, usually RPM will gradually decrease.
Now it will drop drastically, eg from 2500rpm@100km/h to 1500rpm@95km/h a second later. I'd say it's "not holding the speed".
Is there something like overdrive in F22B1? I did notice RPM drop of 250 at D4 after reaching certain speed usually around 60 ~ 90km/h.
Anyone has any idea?
Thanks!!!!

sounds like something is a lil worn in your engine or drivetrain system, which will lower the output of your machine. It sounds like your engine isn't putting out as much power to the wheels as it used to, thus it takes a higher rpm range and thus more power in your honda to keep the car steady. Something is dragging that output to go down. This will also explain why your engine will slow dramatically when you let off on the gas. Could be a number of things... one of the most simple things... have you changed your oil lately?

About 2600km (1625 miles) driven since last oil change.
And this unstable RPM happens intermittently. Sometimes I get the regular RPMs.

sorry not to be off topic.. how come sometime when i let off the gas at 45mph, and rpm goes down and then sometimes it rises quickly and the decreases, like a wave , but only once..thanks!
