Is it not true the the ITR has a carbon fiber/or at least a replica cluster cover...i've seen it...i know my eyes are not playing tricks on me....and i own a GS and i've heard that I can replace my front sway bars with the ITR/GSR 24mm front sway bar.....**** Dealership....fucken idiots...i hate dealerships...bunch idiots working there.....

acura dosnt sell the cover by itself. you have to by the entire the gauge cluster. i am pretty sure of that.

 

The CF around the gauges is real, the fake bits were the one's added during 2000 and 2001 (ash tray/driver's vent).

I think Comptech sells a CF trim kit for like $225 (lots of interior trim pieces).

The carbon fiber is fake. Just look at it. If you want, flick it. Sounds like plastic. Real CF would sound more solid. The comptech one looks really nice.

 

The cover is definitely very fake - it is just coloured plastic, like all the other cheesy bits in the 2000+ Type-Rs.

So your telling me that the USDM ( not JDM ), YES USDM Type R's has the CF "fake-look" ash tray & vents on the 00 & 01 model? If so, are there any addtional pieces that has the CF "fake-look"?

 

Yup its fake and it looks like **** IMO. Wish they would have just did the gauge cluste only
