Default d15b2 with d16a6 crank ?

Hi...

are there any posibilities to fit an 1,6l d16a6 crank into an d15b2 block ?
I know that the bearings are different and the d15 crank is smaler, but if I have both blocks, could I change the complete construction (crank, bearings,...) ?

Thx

If you have both blocks, why ask the question? Go with the D-16

Hi...

Problem is the number on the Block... you know the german "TÜV" - The non funny guys

My first D15 is build up with stronger internals, but the parts are hard to get for the D15b2... its easier to get them for D16a6...

I'm planning to convert one of my D15 Blocks to D16 internals - To get the parts easier and have no problems with the block numbers

Get a file (grinder) and letter/number stamp kit.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by DonF &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Get a file (grinder) and letter/number stamp kit.</TD></TR></TABLE>

...that was my other idea

I think that would be the easiest way

The main and rod size on the D-15 seems to small to make good bhp, I have had cranks made to D-15 stroke to fit a D-16 so the displacement was correct 1.5, we did that because we considered the DDDD-15 too weak in crank size. Get the number set.
