Why go with a type S motor when a type R motor can be had. If you are after power why not try a k24/20 swap.

Or just get a type R motor and do internals and go all motor.

i'm assuming most of these cars have less than 50K miles on them, since the car came out in 2002.

Why would you want to waste a good K20A2 Motor/tranny for a tiny bit more power?
The stock engine is a good enough plat form and it's not a good investment to replace an engine with, what, 20k miles?, for something that doesn't have that less mileage (maybe 5,000.. oh wow), and a tiny bit more power.

I wouldn't do it.
