I pulled out my Skunk2 Stage 2 cams but left in their valvetrain. I'm running Type R cams right now. Will I lose power because of the spring pressure or worse, prematurely wear my Type R cams?

they do put more pressure on the cams/valvetrain, but it will be ok

 

I thought that the skunk2 were similar to the itr ones.

 

my friend ran s2 valvetrain with stock b16 cams. it ran just as it did b4 he put the valvetrain in and he can rev higher.

 

It should be fine. I think the guy was asking why you pulled S2S2's for ITR's

 

I didn't have enough compression for the S2S2's so I'm saving them for my GSR buildup.

 

it will be fine, actually it is better because you will not have to worry about valve float if you miss shift or something stupid
