Default Exedy clutch questions

I am currently in the market for a new clutch and flywheel combo. From what I've heard, Exedy makes some great parts so I am thinking about getting either their OEM or their Stage 1 clutch along with a lightened flywheel. Right now the only mods on my car are i/h/e, but in the somewhat near I am planning on working with the top-end, possibly Gude. My question is, will the Exedy OEM clutch be able to handle the pressure or do I need to get the Stage 1?

Thanks in advance.

My advice, if you only intend on doing spirited driving with these mods on your car (streets) I woul go with the Exedy OEM clutch. If you plan on tracking, dragging, get a Stage 1.

Good luck.

If you are looking for a great daily driver, strong flywheel, I have a used JUN 12 lb. flywheel for sale for an H22 (2000 base 5-spd). I had it resurfaced a short while ago, and since have only put 3,500 miles on it (It has 5,500 on it total, but I switched to a turbo clutch at that time so while it was out I got it resurfaced to spec even though that was probably overkill with so few miles on it). Looking for $225 shipped to 48 with a CC or MO, add 3% if using paypal. Email me Spocko_1701a@yahoo.com

jun flywheel is chromoly.

go to http://www.daikenclutch.com and find a dealer in your area. the daikien oe replacement is an exedy stage one. they have the same base part number on catalog but not on box because the exedt has an exedy box and a daikin has a daiken box. same identical clutch. but the daiken is $150 for the kit as opposed to $275-$300 for the exedy. and it does come with a new throughout bearing.

i use it on my 4th gen and i make 220 whp and i love it.

if the webpage doesnt work do a search on google

JunBB1 is correct, it is infact chromoly steel. (I don't think you can resurface alum. ones > I think you have to replace the plate)

Thanks for all the help. I ended up getting the OEM replacement off of ebay. I definately would have gotten it from you if I hadnt already bought the one off of ebay.
