Default ls powered ek/em1's??

ok so i blew the b16 in my si. time for a new motor so i have some choices. i can get a pretty good deal on a 98ls motor. to that i plan to use my si tranny. does any one here have just a straight ls swap into a coupe. how does it feel compared to the b16. any help greatly appreciated.

torque's aplenty it feels like it's faster, even though it's not.

how bad is ur b16 blown? can't fix it? LS are ok.... it all depends on the condition. i have friends w/ LS hatchs who can't break 15. and i have this one kid w/ a LS 93 coupe who hit 14.8. it all really depends dude. i'd rather fix the b16 though if u can.

well i sucked up enough water to put a hole in the block so no fix there. i think the head from the b16 is ok. so my thoughts were if i didnt like it w/out v-tec i could just swap the head for an ls-vtec. i also am in the process of buying a turbo kit. my brothers ls teg is just as fast as my si used to be. he had a gsr tranny and bolt ons. so i figure i am lighter then a teg so i should be doin ok.

i was thinkin they would be pretty close performance wise. stock for stock the ls would pull on the lowend and the b16 would pull top end? and i know that the shorter gear ratios help alot on those motors. anybody else have any feedback?
