Searched: Kinda OT What do you NO-AC guys do...
When it rains? I applied Fog-X on my windshield, and it doesn't do crap. Two nights ago a almost drove off the road because i couldn't see anything, the windshield had fogged up. I know i'm applying it right, because i applied the Rain-X the same way and it works.
So my question is, what do you guys do who have no AC, to prevent your windows from fogging up? Roll down the windows and get wet?

There's not much you can do. My mom used to have an old pontiac lemans POS w/o A/C, and it fogged constantly. There's a no-fog paste that comes in what looks like a little crack vial that paintball guys use on their goggles that works better than the rain-x no fog. It applies like a wax.
What I ended up doing alot was having to get window visors to crack the window and let the thing run with the heat full blast for a bit to dry it out. I actually backed into someone parallel parking because I couldn't see out the damn windows in that thing.

weird, if it starts to get foggy i blow air onto the windshield. I dont have AC however, my climate control center is functionable
Here's one you probably never heard of. I used to scuba dive and my mask used to fog up alot. They sell alot of expensive crap to stop this. I read in a diving magazine that a cheap fix was to smear any gel toothpaste on your mask and then rinse. It works great believe it or not. And leaves a fresh minty scent. Anyway, it's cheap like a buck for a tube. Just don't get one with any type of grit like baking soda. I used Aim. I've never tried it on my cars windows before. I chose to keep myA/c.

I have to disagree.......yea I scuba....Whenever I use toothpaste on a mask it is to get the film from the Maker off....that's why divers are know for spitting on the mask everytime they get in the water, before a dive......I dont think toothpaste would work much in an automotive application, simply because I dont think Many people want to SPIT, on their windshield everytime they get in the car.... IMO

Crack the window and turn on the defroster. The only trouble with that is that every Civic I've ever been in has that little tab about halfway up the front side of the window and water likes to collect there and drip in the car if you have the windows open when it rains.

i got this tip from "the man show" a few years back...
get some shave gel and apply it on your windows... works like a charm!

Anyone tried a fog wipe from snowboarding goggles? Works great with the goggles, and I know that more moisture gets in my goggles then it does on a winshield.
It gets so bad in my car that I choose not to drive in the rain if its not 100% necessary.
I've tried using the climate control crap, cracking windows and stuff like that, nothing has worked for me so far... it gets horrible in my car. I wish I had a/c!

yeah, it's that bad for me too. fog -x, blowing the heater/outside air on the windshield full blast, having the windows ALL the way down during a storm, wiping the windshield.. etc

Yeah, like I said, there's not much you can do. Especially if it's one of those summer downpours, and you get into the car all wet. I tried everything possible, and nothing took care of the problem, only made it less severe.
