If you are doing a hydro kit swap, you have to use a electronic vss from a 94+ integra or 92+ civic. to pull out the stock vss from the firewall you dissconnect it from the tranny and pull it out from inside the cabin. Have you tried using wd40 on the rusted bolt? letting it sit for a while? even trying to brush some of the rust off with a wire brush to get a better grip on it? you can use the ef return line.

thanks
so i CAN... use the ef stock fuel return line, just to get my car up and running RIGHT?
hasport said that i should use the Bseries one.... (nothing about i must)hehe
thats fine cause i have stock exhaust/cat and have to break in my new clutch so i won't be hammering it or anything..
thanks

yeah you dont have to use the electronic vss.
and i just changed my fuel filter and i couldnt get the feed line botl out so i just put my impact to it and it came free easy

The fuel filter is stuck on there. Try and get a breaker bar and get it free.
Also the return line you should use what ever one fits the best.
The vss you don't have to use the electronic vss. If you do you need to swap out to a cluster that uses electronic vss such as integra 94+ or jdm sir.

yeah i understand that i don't use the gsr vss (elevtrical) unless i'm putting a EG/EK/DC cluster in.
my only concern is that it might pop out during racing... (ie) no speedo no vtec.. hehe

I had that problem with the throttle cable being too long.
Installed 98 type r throttle cable into 88 dx hatch.
I shortened the cable. I made it work.
Take out the excess and reconnect with an electrical coupling
Do this and problem solved.

Or you could just make a custom bracket like I did when I ran into that similair problem

obd1 conversion sucsess. only threw code 9 only gsr (p72ecu)
what is code 9?
Also FYI.... when doing gsr swap into ef & using the stock GSR IM use your stock D16a6 throttle cable NOT DA
DA will only work with ITR/B16 style IM

I used my 3/8 impact to take off the fuel filter bolts because the filter always tries and rotate around when you turn the bolt by hand. I had to take my cat converter off my exhaust that was here at my house and the bolts were all rusty. I had to take them off by hand. Took me like 20 minutes for 3 bolts. If I had it at work where my good tools are I would have zapped it off with an impact in about 30 second total.
Your vss will not fly out while racing. That is one of the dumbest things that I've heard today.
You can use a d or b series vss. They will hold the same, just use the 10 mm bolt and the little clip that holds the speedo cable on. lol
Glad its running good for ya
code 9 CYP - cylinder sensor

well the vss cable is so damn tight, theres no play in it at all. I mean even with the pin to hold it in, don't you think there could be a chance of it poping out?
well code 9 CYP..... i think it's because the timing is all the way advanced for some reason. Also i have crudy 87 octane and and old fuel filter.. hehe
