Hill climbing. Kinda like the Pikes Peak, but on asphalt. Pretty much anything with 4 wheels is allowed in there, it's crazy!

Hillclimb for sure...the site has 10 or so other videos for sale with previews..mostly crash and in-car.
Th English translations are pretty funny..
"This Reynard of 2001 aesthetically approaches F1 current. The team have much evil at the beginning of season to develop the engine.
and
"Dans pressed, the weekend following direction Portugal for the following sleeve, the formulas being prohibited, it is Protos which gains the test. Andrea Debiasi on Osella 2l is essential in front of the horde of the 3 liters."

Awesome vid. Kind of a cool little shot when the open wheel at the end sparks the road rail. The Lancia or whatever with the Remus sticker was cool. The White Bimmer was sick too. Good stuff.
Watching the Formula cars at the end of the video induced what some call a "pucker factor".
Yikes! None of that could ever happen in the states because of our wonderful legal system. (/end sarcasm)

That was the goods, guys...
Hillclimbs rock and the German championship runs bigger, faster roads than in England - which has arguably one of the best-contested series in the world. The Italian national championship is very good as well but seems to emphasize sports racers.
Of course, we are sucking hind tit here in the good ol' US of A but there are options other than Pikes Peak. Links at http://www.it2.evaluand.com/events.php3
Do one if you can.

Sure it can. NWR Hillclimbs count towards Solo-I season points.

Sure did - the infamous moonscape. To do that on a bike is f'ing hard, to do it at those kind of speeds would take some major cojones.

Well slap me silly! I do believe that was an (in)famous Lancia Delta S4!!! I've never seen a recent video of one! Turbocharged AND Supercharged...
Here's a quote about 'em:
"the Lancia Delta S4 could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds on a gravel road. Henri Toivonen drove an S4 around Estoril, the Portuguese Grand Prix circuit, so quickly that he would have qualified sixth for the 1986 Portuguese Grand Prix."
What a monstor...

The Delta in that video is even more radical than the GrB version of Henri's day. I appears to be essentially a sillouette car, with the entire body dropped down around the chassis.
