Typical american lol !! Take a look over the ocean. Tyre is the fundamental word. Your people made a "tire" out of it.

If it weren't for "our people" helping our friends in the UK sixty years ago, they would be saying it in German today...

Well, it's more appealing than the "we have 300 million people who spell our way and you have 60 million people who spell your way" card, dontcha think?

The second time you bring my words/person together with ****-Deutschland and the second time I tell you: No doubt you hate us germans for some reasons, that`s your right. But don`t, I repeat, DO NOT mention again my quotes or my name together with anything about WW2. I am born in the United Republic of Germany in the 70th and my generation suffers for those folks who invaded the world and started from Germany under the flag of an autrian psychopath named Alois Schicklgruber.
There`s nothing wrong if I say that "tyres" is the oldschool word and it was turned into "tires" by your people... I only recognized that some (or some more) Americans don`t feel the need look behind the borders of the USA.. that`s all. No reason to point at me and mention "sixty years ago"....
Pointed to a modern German, this is a personal attack of the worst kind.
I am not the one who would point at you and ask why you invade a land where you don`t belong if I knew you would have nothing to do with it (and even don`t want to). Because I`m educated to pay respect to other persons. Are you ?

I agree with our German friend. The WW2 comment was inappropriate (even if it was made tongue-in-cheek). Not all Americans are arrogant or ignorant.
But to contribute to the post. I usually run 35f/33r on the street and 37f/35r at the track on 205/50/15 Azenis.

Lighten up, indeed. My post - which was strictly intended as humor - had nothing to do with the fact that you are German. This was pure coincidence.
I apologize that you have taken offense from my post. It was only directed towards the difference in spellings in UK English vs US English, and was not directed at you personally.

That's okay, these days a lot of Americans are asking the same question (why we invaded a land where we don't belong)...
