Give me some tips on how to buy/shop for an S2K. Going this weekend.
I am getting rid of the GSR, and moving into an S2K.
Last time I asked around about this car, they were only selling at sticker or $500 mark up.
Have the times changed?
And if you don't mind, can you tell me what you paid for it new/options?
TIA

http://www.hardtopguy.com - good deals on S2000's and of course, optional parts. don't buy options from a dealer, because they will charge you full price + installation.
best idea is to shop around. see which dealership gives you the best price and have other dealerships match. once you find the lowest one, go buy the car. its worked for the past 4 honda's i've bought

If good typing was a measure of intelligence, you'd be on the level of a tree stump...
Negotiating a good deal is a more delicate process than that. True, you don't want to get bent over, but nothing says the dealer has to sell you that car. If the S2000 is a car that has a hard time staying on the lot (like it is in my area) then the dealer can just as easily say "No thank you, we've got buyers willing to pay closer to list" and you won't be going home with your coveted S2000.
I think any of the more reasonable suggestions in this thread will do just fine on helping you acquire your new car

if not that http://www.carsdirect.com close to invoice price. Also hartopguy is around the same. I would not buy a car from a dealer, especially on the first day just a tip I sold cars for a year(HONDA) and you just need to go home when done sleep on it ask people on HT, look up prices on edmunds and carsdirect. Also sticker is way to high. If you see any mark up leave, that whole thing is BS they just wanna make more money. good luck and I wish i had the cash to buy a brand new one
