what c/r is good for toda b's?
this topic migth of had been discuss before and i apologized for it but, right now im running a ls vtec with 12 or 12.5 to 1 c/r and was just wondering if it was good for it. for those of you that has todas or those of you that knows. what c/r is good for a toda b or what other stage cams should i used?
12:,12.5:1 you will be good with Bs but ls vtec, make sure your buttom end is built, cause toda likes to rev high and stock ls buttoms are known to granade at high (9500) rpm. imo

I would have 11.5-12.0:1 compression for Toda Spec B cams...However, if you have an LS/VTEC I wouldnt suggest Toda B's. B's make max power over 8500 rpm and that isnt too good for the 89mm stroke of the B18A/B and B20. The rod/stroke ratio is not suited for 8500+ revvs and will put aloooooot of stress on your cylinder walls. If you plan to run this setup, I suggest a set of aftermarket sleeve and a set of forged pistons. Maybe you should look into a set of Buddy Club III's
yup. you might want to look for a cam profile that has a lower power curve. so you don't have to rev so high. but the down side your peak power will be lower. what kind a car will this motor be in? (gutted race car, street car)
Definately build up your bottom end. You cylinder walls won't be able to take that high reving too much.
If you had a GSR then you'd be golden but with an LS/VTEC I wouldn't recommend the toda spec B's. With the work you have done to the car that is. The Rod stroke just isn't suited for what your trying to get out of it.
