Default Boosting a SOHC integra

Ok , first let me explain the title. I bought an JDM Honda Integra Ti '99 , with came with a SOHC 1.6L (that's from factory ... noone swapped it).
Well , days passed , weeks passed , months passed , and I decided that the 120 hp the motor makes is not enough .

I want to get up in the 200 hp band ... with the cheapest and easiest way possible . Oh well , you guest right , ... turbo is the way to go.

Hmmm , here how it goes. where I live , swapping motors need a lot of paperwork done first, so the motor will have to stay as is. What kind of turbo should I look for and what's a save boost to run on for my stock SOHC ?

Wow

Never seen a SOHC Teg before, much less with that front end...

As far as turbos go, if you are looking for a kit there are a number of them to choose from, just search "SOHC turbo" or something like that...you should be able to find what you are looking for.

If you are going the custom route, there are too many turbo options to list, search is your friend

What communist country do you live in where you need to do a bunch of paperwork just to do a motor swap? I'm presuming not "The Democratic Peoples Republic of California" .
You obviously don't need a super big turbo. I say get a nice kit, one that is clean to match your car. Whatever you do don't ghetto rig it. It's all about the tuning though if you want good power or you want your engine to last.

hehe I live in the communist Europe and that law is the pride and joy of Cyprus island !!!

my engine has 50 000 KM on it (Km not miles), and it's my dialy drive , so I just want to know if it's safe to push 80hp's more from it .

about the SOHC engine , in japan they make sohc integras, this is a japan imported car, not a EUDM.

Do you hate the turks? My dads Greek and my mom is a Puerto Rican that was born in Ankara, Turkey so I'm sure anyone could imagine what it was like in my household growing up.

Most people around here say "A good turk is a DEAD turk."
they even sell T-shirts with the above saying , and if someone tells me he/she's turkish ... well he/she most propably not get the best first impression from me
.... LoL

Back to my question .
I found this "starter kit"
http://www.turbo-speed.com/rev...m=640
it's cheap , but it somewhat seems incomplete.

I'm not TURKISH. My mom was born there and she's not either. I'm a Greek/Puerto Rican .
But yeah that does seem a lot incomplete. I would personally go with a complete kit. Is it all brand new though? Don't go with a used turbo, it could likely bite you in the ***.

That teg just doesn't seem right, looks like a civic dressed like an Integra. Good luck with the turbo, you will always want more power though.

all you JDM leg humpers should know that the integra did have the SOHC 1.6L option in Japan.. oh well..

edit > by option, i don't mean you could choose that engine as an option, i meant, you could opt to get the base model teg with that engine stock.

I pieced together a turbo kit for my SOHC Integra for less than $1000, however I've yet to install it. There's nothing wrong with used parts, but I'd still invest in a new, or barely used turbo.

Mine went in a few months ago, apparently the stock B18C5 was too powerful.
