b16 redline

Default b16 redline

i have a 1990 civic with a jdm sir b16. i just got the motor in and it keeps cutting out at about 7200 rpm's. other than that it seems to run good, any ideas?

Had any check engine lights? Do you know what ECU you have?

sounds like you got the sohc computer, it should rev till 8200 fuel cut

the check engine light comes on at around 3000 rpm's and syays on untill its turned off, the ecu is a pr3

holy **** a newbie that asked a real question... congradulations, welcome to honda-tech you should learn a lot here.

The only thing i can think of is that your ecu is potentially bad or there is a simple wireing problem you have to sort out

fuel cut is higher than redline.

I have an Si and mine redline hit at 8200, hope this helps you. But it does sound like something is wrong with your ECU.
