Default d16y7 into 92 HB need help

Me and my buddy installed a d16y7 into a 92 HB on monday using only the d16 head and block with all the d15B bolt ons i.e. header, intake manifold wiring harness, sensors, etc. The motor bolted up fine with a few new misc extra parts like valve cover and timing belt tensioner. We first started the car to adjust the timing and it worked great revved up and everything. Next time we went to start it we could only give the motor about half throttle and then the motor would rev to about 1500 rpm and then bog down and die. Its driving us nuts we've gone through everything on the install and can't figure out why its dying. Any input would be helpfull. Also we hollowed out the cat at the manifold and we're using the cx computer.

you should swap that head for a y8
the y7/y8 mini me(from what i've read) has some massive compression!
would be a fierce setup in a 92hb man!!

I've been at work all day. Just got word from my buddy the car started running, have no idea why. The motor was sitting for about a year and a half so maybe everything internal just needed to get "comfortable". I agree with the y8 head swap but this was just for a guy who needed a new motor so we did it el cheapo. Thanx for the posts.

But just to let everyone know this swap does work and honda is genious for making all their motor parts interchangeable. The only other thing that might improve on is taking out the crappy cx p05 and swapping it for a reprogrammed p28.
