A few days ago I reported there was a problem with the height of my OMP drivers seat... means I am very tall and the console/sliders/brackets did not bring the seat low enogh..
Here is the thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=898343
But now it seems I am race ready. The second attempt of racing an ITR seriously.. I spent lots of work and a shitload of money in my second project... well..
Here is the mount of the passenger seat: Sliders are in and the brackets fit under the seat... way too high for me...(sorry for bad quality)

This now is the drivers seat:
No more sliders, console customized to turn the brackets around so they point away from the seat. With that I could let the seat sink to the lowest possible point between them. The seat is also mounted 65mm back from the stock position.

On this pic you can see the difference in height:

...and here even better:

Here a night-shot into the drivers door:

And finally (sigh).... what ya need to track your car that simply costs all you own (no matter how much you have). Three sets of rims (not to see here), street tires, slicks and rain tires (Yoko A039)......(why am I doing all this ??? I better should save my money
)

Damn.. I really hope I will keep this ITR alive during the trackdays.. This is why I spent some big money in racing school this year also... I will hit Hockenheim, Dijon and Anneau du Rhin this year before #05874 will close his eyes to sleep through the cold season.
Good luck to you on track in 2004. I`m ready now

Not quite yet...
Get some real padding on that cage first.

If very well could be if you're ever involved in a crash. Safety comes first -- SFI padding is your friend.

Excellent.
After rereading your previous posts, I believe I misunderstood when you said that it "shouldn't be a problem". I originally thought you meant that using the padding shown in the photographs shouldn't be a problem. However, I now see that you actually meant that purchasing and installing proper padding shouldn't be a problem. Sorry about that...

Yes, sorry for not talking clear... you got it right now
In fact, purchasing and installing paddings was the last thing I messed with.. The problem to get my drivers seat fit my body was I was after.. and I`m happy with the result. There is no chance to lower the seat more than now.

yeah, and I only drive with helmet on... But sometimes I street the car so it`s better to have good paddings..
This seat is a OMP "Grip". It fits my body centre very well but anyway it`s designed for italians I think. I am very tall but I sit fair well in it.
