Default help connecting amplifier to battery

i have an accord 98 coupe and was wondering where is the best place to send the wire from the amp to the battery. would i need to drill a hole myself through the firewall or is there a spot i can find that would fit nicely? thanks in advance

<4 gauge will fit fine through the existing hole. On the driver's side, pull off the panel that is under your steering column (a couple screws after you pop the fuse cover off, the rest is just held in with clips). Then, if you cram your head in the footwell and look up on the right side of the steering column there's about a 1" rubber plug. Pull that out, drill a hole in it big enough to put your wire through, and there you go. A flashlight makes things easier

or you can just route through the existing firewall hole... unless you have a mess load of wires to run. dont forget to use an inline fuse holder for your power wire.

use a hangar. A wire hangar helps when trying to feed wires through the firewall too, just use some electrical tape and tape the wire to the hangar, then push the hangar through, and walk around to the engine bay and pull the hangar out.

the grommet is kinda tough to get at from the engine bay for us people with big hands, but you can do it. Otherwise if you're a smaller guy, lay on your back in the footwell lol
