Default DIY Stainless Steel Turbo Manifold

Hey guys, I'm a TIG welder and i'm planning to turbo my car. I work at a Piping/Pumping place so i have easy access to all kinds of pipes and prefabbed 90 degree bends and all that junk. I saw on that toyota site how to build your own turbo manifold out of carbon steel, however i want to make it out of stainless. What thickness piping should i use? Schedule 10, 20, 30, etc?

I believe they use schedule 40. check out the fab-forum being advertised. It should be right up your alley.

40 is cool for strength but thinner material is better from a thermal standpoint. Go sch40 1.5".

You must be stoked to have access to all that stock.

i know i should, but i'm not familiar with the way the schedule measurement works, so i don't really know what schedule 40 really is. However, i dont have to use 1.5", i could use 2" or 2.5" or make it go from 1.5" to 2" or whatever...
