type-r idle????
What does everyone's type r's idle at ....mine seems to be idling a bit low ever since I put in new valves and everything...I'm idling at around 750rpms then whenever the air kicks on or the fan kicks on the rpms drop to around 600 and it feels like my car is gonna stall out but then it just revs back up to 1400 or so and back down to 750?!?!?!? what do you think it is...bad sensor? dying battery?? any ideas please I need help
my car does the same thing, and actually dies sometimes!!! but this is only when the car is really really cold (after its been sitting overnight). Ive had it checked out a few times, acura gives me BS because my car is modded so much, and other places tell me its because the way my AFC is tunned (altough i had it tunned professionally), but they say there actually nothing wrong with my car (and i had acura take my transmission apart and everything (that cost me some $$$$$$$$)).
If i was u i wouldnt worry about it..... but thats just me....

Actually my Type R does this **** all the time bro....it's getting quite annoying someone told me it might be a bent valve but I highly doubt it
A couple of weeks ago I had a little problem with my V-AFC. My buddy accidintly set it back to default and messed my car all up. I was throwing a code saying I had high voltage going to the O2 sensor.
Well, I made a appointment to go to the delaer and had my V-AFC removed before hand. I guess my car was throwing more codes than just one. When he ran a check on it I was misfiring in my #4 cylinder. The reason why I am telling you this is cause my car seemed to idle funny too. Every since my buddy screwed it up, my car seemed to idle low, but on occasion, the rpm's would go as low 350 to 400 and almost die. The dealer replaced all four spark plugs and it fixed my problem. Hope this helps.

i have the same problem with my R. sometimes when i crank the engine, it takes about 3 secs to turnover. usually when this happens, the car idles really low, very close to 500rpm. This happens maybe once a week...
btw, my R only has 10,000miles w/ no mods except for aem cai which was removed. 3000mile oil change and premium unleaded.

This used to happen with my civic dx (stalling on idle). The source of the problem was the battery.
10k miles on an ITR? do you happen to have amps and woofer system on your car?
