Two questions concerning the Spoon Sports Throttle Body...
1) Will the intake side fit the stock plastic ITR intake arm?
2)Does Spoon Sports mark their throttle bodies in some way to let you know they are genuine or are they absolutely identical to the OEM ITR TB. The reason I ask is because I am considering buying a used spoon sports TB and I want to know that its not some OEM bored to 70mm by a woo haa with a drill.
Thanks for any help guys!!!

Yeah...how about a 58mm TB that I thought was genuine when I bought my R second hand. ITR TB's are supposed to be 66mm. Also, wouldn't you doubt the authenticity of everything else on your car after you found out that some of the genine ITR stuff has been replaced with garbage! If i'm going to pay over 500 for a new TB, mine as well get the 70mm Spoon one...
Yes, the rubber intake hose will fit on the Spoon TB.
Spoon replaces the TPS rivets with allen head type screws. The tb will be a 70mm taper to a 64. Stock throttle plate is used.

I believe there is a guy on honda-tech that bores throttle bodies. He can make a gsr tb into type r spec i belive for $100. I dunno, maybe if you can find a used or dont need a larger one that could be an option.

if you conduct an actual search on TBs...You will come to the realization that switching TBs is not a mod to seek so extensively.
"SGT" who sadly does not post too often on this board anymore, is one of the greatest Honda tuners, has conducted numerous tests, lots of time and effort has gone into testing different TB sizes on different motor set ups, and the money spent for a new TB can be spent elsewhere where you will actually see some gains. Dont expect much, if anything at all from a TB.
If i were you, i would go to http://www.maxbore.com and send the gsr tb there, he will port it out...make it bigger than a ITR one, and you will save yourself $400.
