B series transmissions will work with B series motors. You can mix and match but for a specific reason. If boost your gsr, then an ls tranny would be best because of longer gearing. If you are NA on an ls, then a b16, gsr or even itr tranny would be good because of the short gears. Will someone confirm this?

Well, I run a b16 tranny on my boosted LS motor. Preferrably, most people choose the GSR tranny on an LS due to boost because of the better ratio's, but IMO the LS tranny is just too long geared. But if you are staying N/A, the b16 or type r tranny would be great for your app.

Id recommend the JDM ITR 4.785 FD LSD tranny. i ditched my b16 tranny for it and i love it.
