Fuel Pressure Question
Ok, so I'm looking at getting a B&M fuel pressure regulator. My question is, what is the best way to find out the correct fuel pressure to be running at?
I was originally going to by Autometer A/F & Fuel Pressure gauges, and mount them in a dual pod A pillar mount. Then I found out that the Fuel Pressure gauge is over $200, which I'm not sure if I want to spend right now. I also don't much want to get just the A/F gauge & have a single pod A pillar mount or a dual with an empty socket.
If I decide not to go with the Autometer gauges, the other option is just to use the B&M fuel pressure gauge under the hood. Question is, without the A/F gauge, what's the best way to fine tune the fuel pressure?
Also, what's people's opinions - is it worth it to spend the $$ for the in-car fuel pressure & A/F gauges?
TIA

I think it's worth the money for the in-car. If you don't really need it in the car, then get the one under the hood. Get your reg. Get the dual pod with an A/F gauge and a oil pressure gauge. These are very important too...by the time your oil light turns on the motor could be damaged already! Check my car out on my site: http://www.infusiumracing.com
My car is under the "Founder's Rides" section, it's called "Project Punisher" There is an images of my gauge set-up right now in there, which will be changing soon since I just got a GSR dash for it.

It really depends on your mods. If you have the typical I/H/E you may not even need it. I had the forementioned mods and I bought the BM reg and the under the hood guage along with the auto meter guage and a single pod. I really never felt any gains with the regulator and I think it was a waste of money. I would suggest upping the pressure to the highest of the recommended settings by honda and call it a day.
I really appreciate it now because the guages and reg came in handy after the turbo install.

My problem is actually too much fuel pressure. I believe that's the reason it's running so rich. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't adjust fuel pressure with the stock regulator, right? So I need to get the regulator to reduce the fuel pressure, but since I don't have dyno access, the best idea I have for tuning is to use a A/F gauge & a FP gauge to adjust the pressure to optimal.
