Default AXLE PROBLEM!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

ok guys ... i just put a d16a6 into my brothers 90 dx crx.........

are the 1.5 axles diffrent for the 1.6 axles???? we had to replace the pasenger side axle cause it was fucked up ... the store had 2 diffrent numbers ./.. one for the 1.5 and one for the 1.6 ... they didnt have the 1.6 so i told my brother to just get the 1.5 ..... i thought they were all the same ...

anyway ... the axle/tranny is making a terriible grinding noise when u start to move .... not when its in nuetral or the clutch is depressed... but as soon as u move it grinds ...........

now the weird thing is we replaced the passenger side axle but i can swear that the griding is from the drive side!!!!

what do u guys think it is???? is it posible for the two diffrent trannys to have grinded down diffrently and the splines just arent gripping?????

im not positive, but i would think they would be different. maybe they have different spline #s, but if they did it wouldn't slip in to easy.... or the lenths are different... i don't know exactly.

BUMP up for someone that needs some help.

I looked up the part numbers on http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com a long time ago and all the axles for 88~91 DX, LX... automatic, standard... sedan, CRX, hatchback... etc are all the same EXCEPT for the CRX hf and the Civic STD.

I guess you can double check it for yourself, but that's what I remember.
