Hey my buddy gots a 93 Civic that has the MPFI in it, well not anymore since he put a d15b in it. I got a 88 CRX DX with the SWEET (
) DPFI in it.
I was wondering do all (CRX/Civic) models/years with MPFI work on a 88 CRX?
I am aware of that the engine harness needs to be modified. Does it matter since its a OBD-I ??
I plan on putting a b16a2 in it in the near future so I have to switch it to MPFI anyways. Well let me know or point me in the right direction.
Also, another COOL question, Does anyone have links or know how to put a different cluster in a CRX? I would like to put a 97-01 ITR or at least a 99-00 Civic SI????

The intake manifold will work.
You will need to do the same as you would with any other DPFI to MPFI swap.
Save LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS or headaches and just modify your stock DPFI harness as the DPFI to MPFI conversion instructions tell you. Don't bother attempting tp convert the OBD-1 harness to fit your car unless you are a wiring genius and you don't need your car running any time soon.
There is a write-up on how to fit the DC teg cluster in your car. You will need to replace the cluster hood in your car with one from a 90/91, replace your cable drive VSS/speedo tranny gear with an electronic tranyn mounted VSS, as well as some cutting and modding stuff to get the cluster in right.

Pin-out table ... not sure if it's the same for the 88

Make sure though that the intake has enough clearance from the positive terminal on the battery. If it rubs, you will want to consider a way to shield the terminal from the intake pipe, or move the battery to the back.
