so i tried to install it today on my 90 hf with this write up:
here is the wiring diagram that I used. Worked perfectly. Just remember that you need an electronic VSS. Make sure that you hookup the vss wire from the ecu to the cluster. If i remember the ecu to vss wire on the 90-91 civics is wht/red. This wire needs to be tapped into the orange wire in order for the ecu to receive signals from the VSS. BTW you need to go by the location and the wire color. Both are important as different plugs may have the same wire coloring. If you have any questions PM me.

But......... Now my car won't start, just cranks. Turn signals don't work but according to above they are correct. The only thing i can tell that is actualy right is the highbeams and e-brake. Can the vss with a bad ground cause this? my fingers hurt form twisting and soldering wires all day, anyone with any help????

 

my dumb *** blew a fuse, starts but still no tunr signals/speedo, all wires hooked up acording to above.

 

hey you know I'm about to do Type R cluster swap into my 89 CRX Si, question for you is the wiring the same as your 90? also I got a diagram from Ghettocrxsi. he's the man when it came to these swaps. he was the first person i saw here on HT to do the swap. he has diagram on this page:

yea i got it figured out, i had to look up some schematics thought. I messed up the VSS wiring, and had the illumination all mesed up, but tis in and everything works!

 

cool, get a pic up so we can see it !!!! I'll post one when i finally get around to doing mine
