In my opinion this new FastTrack addition for STS needs to be shot down.

ITEM 12) Add to 14.11.A.8: "Replacement brake components must have weights equal to or greater than those of the standard parts, respectively (e.g. caliper-caliper, rotor-rotor)."
As someone said as soon as you run your brakes they will weigh less than brand new. This is as bad as the fenderliner ruling and moving AWD cars to STX.

So when they say replacement parts that's obviously not aftermark caliper since they aren't allowed in STS. But the equal or great weight rule reguarding rotors is some what hypocritical. Slotted or drilled rotors of stock size are allowed in STS, seems they have to revise that rule since drilled and slotted rotors are lighter.
hmmmmm are drilled/slotted rotors lighter than stock.
I've got my own thoughts on the "all AWD cars to STX class" but the reasoning is drawn out.

THe proposed change to the brake rule is in regard to the STX class, not STS.
