AC compressor interchangeabity
Does anyone know if I can bolt up a 96+ D series AC comperssor to a 95 civic D series? Is the mounting the same for the lines and to the block? Thanks.
You wont be able to use the 96-00 a/c compressor. After 1994 compressors switched to R134 from the R12 systems. So you have to make sure that you get a compressor that uses the same kind of refrigerant you use in your car.
The freon type has no bearing on if it will fit and if the lines will bolt up or not. I have a 95 coupe, but need a new compressor, and since 96+ are so abundant....
Now, anyone got an answer for me?

I didnt see that your car was a 95. I was thinking you had a 92-94 civic...which if that was the case you could bolt it up but your freon type wouldnt match.
anyways...i think it does bolt up if you use a 92-95 bracket with it, the refrigerant lines could cause a problem though.
