Default possible to put a 1990 Si motor into my 92 EG cx?

I can get a motor and ecu from a 1990 crx si.....
for $150 with 80k miles.

question, will this bolt up to the oem 92 cx tranny and chassis?
reason being I have a 92 cx with 70 hp, and if I can upgrade for $150 in the time while I save up for an ITR/CTR swap.. then I will do it.

thanks guys.
Owen

The car won't be smog legal.....you need to drop a same year or newer to be legal.

three things need to be done...change the driver side mount (on the block to the 92-5 style), change to the 92+ thermostat housing, reuse your old 92 injectors, distributor, ...plug your 92 harness up....
as far as tranny, sure it bolt up with out a problem...you can reuse your old ecu, but DX (p06) is recommended over the CX which really sucks...

smog legal
hahahaaaaaa, not in NY state, we are free from smog checks and swap laws.
lucky us I know...

Why?...
well thats easy- I need a few months to save up for an ITR or CTR swap. I just do NOT have $5000 sitting around, I already spent it on my other car (DB8) and goodies for this EG... springs, shocks, seats, cluster, rear discs, teg radiator... etc.
If I can get MUCH better performance than the cx motor for only $150 and some hours of hard work, then it is worth it. the 70 hp motor is KILLING ME! its so sad, really, I actually I drove it 5 1/2 hours to Killington for a day of snowboarding last monday with some friends, it was sloooooooow on those Vermont hills.

holy crap, that is just the info I was looking for. thank you so much!
