i have had it for 5 months and i love it....sounds awesome with or without the silencer.....It is loud but tollerable w/out the silencer...pretty light to great power gains...and suprisingly it has never scraped...

That exhaust is pretty damn loud! My cousin had it on his 98 JDM R when it was imported from Japan. He sold after a few months........ too loud!
Check this out...another user posted vids of this setup on his EG hatch. It's pretty damn loud.

About power gains... With the filter,i almost compare it with stock..but witouth the filter it gains pretty much power.
I won't recommend it dude..

Correct, with slip fittings, no resonator, and possible clearance issues, AFIK the sidewall thickness was thinner, definitely not SS, but forgot specifics.
The cannister is the same as mine Rob, but the sound and tone will be louder and higher pitched. Mine is loud enough that it requires me using the intercom to communicate at the track. That one looks like you'd get a headache and require ear plugs.
If I remember correctly, D might have had this setup at one time...

it isn't that loud, not as loud as an apex n1.. there is no clearance issues you can see how low my car is and i have no problems with it....the quality is Good don't know why someone would say it wasn't(comparison).....the tone without the silencer is deep but with the silencer i is higher pitched...as long as you use a cat there wont be any raspiness(new word) and leave the silencer in, in normal driving is only a tad bit louder than stock...i noticed gains all the way up from 4000rpm and huge gains in vtec...just remember why you are buying the exhaust...is it for sound or do you want power

Sound clips on the net while might be intriguing to some do Not promote the true sound or level as such.
Loud is a relative term.
What one guy might say is loud is quiet to another. Which is exactly what we are running into here.
I figure if I can't clearly communicate with my passenger at WOT while screaming, then the fuggin exhaust is Loud. I don't know how you gauge your "loudness", but 93-95 Db is pretty irritating to me after about a constant half an hour.
And last time I checked, he was running a test pipe so sound will be different and yes, Louder.
Anton - who is gonna take the slug out for a spin this afternoon and Not be able to enjoy any other music other than the noises the car makes itself.

Very true, Anton. I had spoken with a few d00ds on here about the Buddy Club Spec III and based on what I had gathered I expected it to sound like a constant sonic boom. At first it did, but now that I heard the Spec III on a buddies STI, the Civic and ITR sound more like the farting of a gay uncle (Not quite, but its close
) Some people just have been subjected to different exhausts and thus judge levels of loudness differently. I personally think that a straight piped Spoon N1 is streetable.
