The day started awsome, I woke up . I did my thing and headed to Easton, PA where I met with Jeff( boosted-hybrid) for a full day of Dyno. I got there we started taking parts off the car( FMU , in-line fuel pump , missing link and stock injectors ). He replaced them with RC 550cc , walbro 255lph , and hondata s100b . After all the parts were installed, they started setting the car up for dynopack status. At first I was skeptical it was my first dyno and most of the dyno's i've seen, had rollers for the tires . He insured that this was safe, after I saw it come down I knew we were ready.

He started dynoing the car until he knew the car was at it's full potential. fortunately we only ran into one problem, the MBC did not want to go past 7.5psi. We wanted to get one run at 9 or 10psi.

After the car was dynoed I went to pick the rest of the money, Jeff and I had a little misunderstanding about the total. That situation was resolved quickly, and peacefully LOL. Once again I apologize Jeff, and hope to see you at the West Chester, PA meeting.


There it is people, my first swap, my first turbo, and my first dyno. I'm gonna take it to the track, just don't know when.

Yeah its the right graph its just Dynapack...i'll find a good way to do it sometime...just havent yet.

Yea, I wasnt there for the most part...out running around with Jeff's dad and that s2k and fixing a computer that day. Hope its running well for you though!

Yeah everyone tells me to get rid of the Deltagate , and that homemade MBC . They tell me to get a TIAL 38 and Turbo XS MBC.

 

I would be there in a heartbeat if it was 2 hours away.

Where is Jeff located. Im located in Maine. I just went to mapquest and its 9 hours 23 minutes (581 miles) from where im located to Philadelphia, PA. Thats some major gas money with the prices right now, and then tolls. We are talking another 100+ on top of just tuning the car (500 flat rate for Uberdata). Plus wear and tear on the vehicle (an extra 1k plus miles on my turbo gsr isn't something that really interest me).

 

Remember Jeff has Dynopack and it's portable. For the right price anything can happend. He told me that he would travel one day, only if there was group of people ready to get dynoed.

You can cut an hour of that time, b/c he's an hour north of Philly

 

$500 seems like a lot to tune Ãœberdata? Maybe it's not, but its more than I expected.

Engaging the IAB's and making timing changes at the low rpm level can yield a torque curve that looks as flat as a supercharger torque curve.

I am located in Easton, PA (the zip code is 18040). It's about an hour to an hour and a half north of Philly.

The rate includes full partial throttle and WOT tuning on the dyno. It includes a dyno fee, plus my tuning fee. Typically, cars are on the dyno for 3-4 hours because I am so **** about tuning the maps. If you were to go to a dyno shop that charges an hourly rate, the dyno fee alone would cost close to what I charge for everything, and you still haven't paid for your tuner at the other shop. It's takes twice as long to tune Uberdata than it does to tune Hondata because of the lack of rtp use support. You Uberdata gurus need to get the rtp code written and perfected, then I'll go down to a 400.00 flat rate.

Heck I drove 4 hours to have Jeff tune my car and it was worth every minute of it.
You just can't go wrong with Jeff.

 

4 hrs, I might have thought twice about that, I hate driving far. But for my Honda, I think I would have done the same thing.

I just messed up my block (stripped some headstud threads out then cracked the inside of the block trying to fix it) after getting my car tuned by jeff, about 8.5 hours driving and 10 hours at his house. Looks like i'm going to have to travel back up for another full tune once i fix all my problems.
