Default Cleaning the IACV. Quick Question, Quick answer required

Just took my IACV off and it looks a little dirty where the mesh is. I was just wondering how to clean it. Do I dip the whole thing apart for the part where the plug goes in a bath of brake cleaner or do i just spray brake cleaner inside where the mesh is?

Cheers
