i have YET to find a girl that can sit in my car with the bass up and I HAVEN'T EVEN UPGRADED **** YET!!!!!!!

my gurl hated my system when i had it...i always cut off frquencies below 80 or 125 for her, so she could stand it a lil. of course it was a shitty audiobahn pumpin out 900 watts so hell... it was even too loud for me...so thats why im gettin a smaller sub in a smaller sealed box with less power hopefully she doesnt bitch about this one as much as the last

 

I plan on getting like 1 8" or MAYBE 1 10". I like to hear bass but i dont have to FEEL it. Plus it weighs down your car and makes u slow.

 

fortunately, my girl likes music as much as i do. as long as we aren't indulged in conversation or fighting, she doesn't mind the music thumping either.

 

My gf loves my car, with my 2 pro 12.5lfs with 1250 watts running to them. She went out and bought 2 pro 12.5lfs, so that she could have some good music in her car.

But I totally here yah. Most girls don't like crazy bass. I had a girl almost throwing up in my car from the bass.

 

Yeah, unfortunately my sub is often the lesser of the two noise sources in my car I have to turn it up real loud so as not to hear the complaints

 

every girl i met thinks loud systems are kinda gay.. but i notice they keep getting back in the car.. so whatever works

I think it would be safe to say that a huge percentage of those who have a "system," which they believe consists of a head unit, amp, and a sub, do NOT know how to set up the "system" of theirs. They might find the cheapest sub box, or one that looks cool, and slap their subwoofer in their, expecting good sound. If i were to ask what type of box and how many cubic feet their sub would be most optimal, chances are they would have not done a single bit of research. And if it's not the box, they'll push their stock tweeters/mids louder and harder to match that crappily tuned sub.

I'm thinking that the girls know what they're hearing. Crappy sound is crappy sound whichever way you cut it. Cranking the volume doesn't help anything either, but to umm...blow out your ears.

 

My girlfriend hates the loud thumping, so i turn the bass down...so its in a pretty general EQ curve, natural sounding

personally, everyone has a certain range of frequencies that they like the most, some people like the high ranges, i prefer the bass to mid ranges...so i when i'm by myself or with my boys, i have the bass up...


its the ******** that put on john mayer for the girls, but have the gain on their amp way the hell up....thats when girls hate it

You should meet my teammate's g/f.

She had us put a Mojo 15 ported in a build-to in the back of her cavalier, which is running off of an MC-1500D at 2 Ohm.

She really wants a wall though with 2 of them and about 20 cube.

She'll even sit in our one car that pulls 60's while it's railing....but not in the seat....in the port.

 

I had 4 10's in the back of my wife's old cherokee, and after they were stolen she said she didn't want them, but when she's in my del sol with 3 10's behind the seats she wants them back......although now she just wants one 12...
