busted tranny...shift linkage not able to secure to tranny!!!!

Default busted tranny...shift linkage not able to secure to tranny!!!!

check out the pic...that piece where the arrow points is completely gone...didn't realize it until my buddies installed the tranny in the car.



I was told to get a welder and have them weld another piece...any other suggestions? I understand that this particular piece is stationary...so it won't like rip off or anthing...

any comments are appreciated.

you should be able to just weld another similar thing in there, be glad the other part didnt get ripped off!

JB weld has been thrown into the idea of fixing this as well...but I'm not sure how well it'll hold up...

yeh, jb weld can stay at autozone for all i care, but i don't own a welder either, just get access to one, or take it somewhere

problem fixed. a buddy that is a mechanic actually has a spare casing laying around... 100 bucks and he swapped the internals to the good casing... DONE!!!
