Thats personal preferance. I got a used Greddy Type R bov. I traded for my Tial because the greddy fit my revhard piping flange. As long as its in good condition I don't see why buying a used one is bad. Buy from a reputable seller. If your worried about it, then buy a new one. It all depends on your pocket.

How does the dsm bov sound? I know in stock dsm's they are silent, probally because they are routed back into the intake manifold, right?

it sounds sweet to me. its not as high pitch of a sound as some other bov's, but its got a nice crisp sound to it. its not just a dull pufft that i was expecting. its loud enough to hear, but its no where near obnoxiously loud. for 50 bucks im happy as all hell with it. ill try to get some vids of my car soon, which is much better than me trying to explain.
