Default CEL... code 4 (crankshaft postion sensor)

1991 civic DX with B16 and PR3 ECU.

car ran AWESOME before...

then coincedence or not, somebody broke into my car and stole the tach and shiftlight, and popped my hood and stole the AEM short ram.

NOTHING ELSE.

after that, i moved the car.... drove it maybe 3-4 miles, NO PROBLEMS.
shut the car off, and pulled out the ECU (theft security)

after a few days, i came back for the car.......
wanting to race it at the friday night drags.

i put the ECU back in, and it came up with this code, and is now running like ****.
or not running at all..... more like MISFIRING. and sometimes stalling.

i checked all the wiring at the ECU side, seems fine, i even re-did the connections to be safe, same thing at the distributor side.

still, same code.

my plugs are ok.... NOT PERFECT, and same with my plug wires.... i even swapped those over with some from my EG, just to double check. (plug wires)

took off my distributor, and my points dont look awesome, and same with my rotor.
just look a little old. but then again, car was running FINE before this... almost on a daily basis.

ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE WHY THIS IS HAPPENING?
what do i do to fix this? before FRIDAY.

I had some serious issues with my CAS wiring when I did my engine swap. Turned out it wasnt the wiring. It was the dizzy being gay. The CAS was good, I tested it with a multimeter, yet I was still thowing a code 4. I couldnt figure it out. I tried differnet wire combonations and nothing seemed to work. So last resort, me and another guy were havnig the same issue, we unplugged the both plugs to the dizzy and unplugged the batt. cables as well as the plugs at the ECU. I fired up the car, and ta da, no more CEL or limp mode. Needless to say after that I went and laid rubber the rest of the afternoon with my new and well running swap. It was wonderful. Now, this may not work for you, you may want to check your wires and make sure that your CAS hasnt gone bad. Did you used to be DPFI?

yeah, i disconnected all the wires, and reconnected them, reset the ECU, took of the DIZZY, and put it all back together....
same code.

but YES, this USED to be DPFI.....

although this car has been B series VTEC for probably over 2 years.
used to have a ITR motor, but i bought it with the B16.
ran fine , now this.

still, it needs a tune up anyway, cap,rotor,plugs,wires....
if thats not it, im swapping in a new dizzy.
