Default K&N Filter E-2427

I was just wondering if anyone has bought it and tried it out. Any vacuum leak problems or fitting problems? I was gonna go with a SPOON or Monster filter, but that's just too much for just a filter!

Anyone???

I saw the post about modifying a K&N by BSQ. But I thought since this filter(E-2427) is supposed to be for Integra's that it'll work. So, might as well get one if it's right. I just want confirmation from someone who is using one.

Thanks

I have one on order, actually it should have been here by now...

I'll let you know how it fits... If I had got in time for our dyno meet I could have let you know what horse power it made ( or lost ).

I contacted K&N directly to make sure the filter was correct for the ITR, cause I have to prepay it, and no returns.. They said it was a perfect fit..

Hey lotus!

Don't know if you remember me. But I was the short asian with spikey hair, in the white jacket.

Yeah, once you get it could you let me know how well it fits and stuff? I e-mailed K&N about that particular filter. No response yet!

$100? I don't think it'll cost taht much. Anyways, I know it'll be cheaper than getting a SPOON or Monster filter.

I was quoted $100 for that filter by MOPAC.

Hmmmm, I forgot if Lordco sells K&N filters....

Cause I can get a discount at Lordco by using my student card! I'll try to find out for sure though.

Ouch... $85.00 US.. that's like $140.00 CDN... There is not much markup on K&N

at the jobber level, so jump on any price less than $100.00... Lordco does sell em,

But they have to order them in... My good buddy there gives me the best deals,

but I haven"t asked him how much for this particular indulgence...

And hey ya Pooface... This supposed to save us gas... Right?

I am on ICQ, but since we hooked up the new computer ( cost more than the

car..) we haven't got it upand running...

Hey Integra_B18B.. How you doing? I remember everybody ( I have a very good memory, it's just short is all..) K&N took quite a while to get back to me, then I got like three reps contacting me at once... I'm just getting the replacement filter, not the air induction kit...

And those z10 radius bars look sweet also, but after talking with Big Phat R I think the poly motor mounts might be a good cost effective compromise..

Besides, the ATS final drive looks like the next big ticket item for me... Just as soon as we hit the lottery...

Cool!
Is the E-2427 K&N filter a cone filter? Or a flat one? I e-mailed K&N a while ago and still no reply.

Let me know once you get your filter in Lotus.

Thanks

Aww I could have had it for Dyno Days.. but it would have cost me 30 bucks more... I'm going to phone on Monday.. Big Al probably forgot to order it.. LOL

I'll use the stock filter and make an intake for the Lotus, then pick up a K&N
for it...

So do you have any pictures of the filter installed? How about the quality of the fitment? Does the filter make a good seal with the airbox? Thanks!

I just picked mine up and installed it on saturday. I was going to take picture but the batteries were dead in the digicam. The filter is a very large cone type. Even bigger than the already huge stock filter. It has a screw on the end similar to the stock filter, take the rubber grommet off of the stock one and place it on the screw. At the elbow end it fits pretty good against the airbox. For good measure, I took some high density closed cell foam weather stripping and put it around the filter to make a better seal. I Can probably take pics tonight if anyone would like.
