idle jumps like a mofo from 1000 to 3000
i put in a new fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor to see if that would help but it doesn't, so i was told to take my aic off and spray that with carb cleaner but that was no help. there is no cell light and my ecu is not throwing codes. the throttle cable is fine.. any ideas

just like the can says to do
essentially youre putting carbon remover through the engine...its like a very mild seafoam that way...and cleans the tb
Just turn it on, spray some cleaner in and have someone feather the throttle so it doesnt die (or you can pull the cable under the hood)
I did that the same day I cleaned the iacv (which didnt solve the problem) and the idle was fixed.
Another option...when's the last time you changed the pcv?

You didn't mention anything about your coolant, but the idle will jump like that if you have an air bubble in the coolant system sometimes.
just another option.

I had the same problem after changing my stock GSR manifold out for the Skunk 2 one. I'm going to bet on the Vacumme lines.

IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE JUST UNHOOK IT AND SEE IF IT STOPS IT WILL THROW A CODE BUT SHOULD FIX THE IDLE THEN TAPE IT OFF AND IT SHOULD TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROBLEM OR GET A NEW ONE THEY ARE LIKE 200 BUCKS
Remove the plate held by two 8mm/phillips bolts located underneath the TB. Tighten the white spring loaded valve by turning it clock wise all the way.
Check the idle screw on top of the TB as well.
That should fix your problem unless your IACV is bad.
