Cleaned my fitv and now my car revs by itself.
Last night I cleaned out my fitv and tb and installed a new tb gasket. I put everything back together and now when I start my car it revs to 5k and stays there.
I checked codes and brought up a 10 and a 1, IAT and 02 but those have been there.
All the hoses are on, emissions, vacuum, coolant.
I took the throttle cable off of the tb so there isn't an issue there. The idle screw is in its origional position.
Im just trying to brainstorm on things I may have missed, help me out!

The butterfly is at idle position not stuck at all. BDL?
I really wish I knew what was wrong I'll have to take it off and take everything apart again tomorrow morning.

if u plug up the lower hole in the tb opening that goes to the fitv does the idle go to normal? that's a quick easy way to figure out if it has anything to do with the fitv.

Make sure your IACV has a good connection you may clean it 2. My car did that when my IACV had a bad plug

Ok today I took it off again and used a different fitv and still the same problem. I'm stumped, maybe it has nothing to do with the tb and it was just bad timing that i had another problem?

That sounds like a TPS issue. Right now my TPS is broken so I can't put the plug on. When I start my car it revs to 3k and gradually goes higher.

Changed tb and fitv with a different tb/fitv and still does it.
Reset ecu and now it fluctuates from 2 - 3k rpms.
Still throwing IAT check engine code.
I left out before that it makes a loud whining noise while it runs.

Did you use the same TB gasket? maybe the old one is damaged or you didnt put it on right and its causing a vacuum leak, happened to me once my TB gasket i put on upside down and it surged from 2-3k rpm and made the whining noise your talking about.

I'm just going to take the whole intake manifold off tomorrow and check for the leak

Re: Cleaned my fitv and now my car revs by itself.
Problem: Idle at 5k+ rpms on start up, whining noise coming from engine bay.
Before: Cleaned out TB and FITV with simple green. Put back on with new oem honda TB gasket.
(Problem)
After:
Replaced TB/FITV with a spare.
Replaced EACV with a spare.
The problem changes to fluctuating idle(2200-2800) after ecu reset. It is somtimes hesitant around 2200.
There is a still a whining noise.
There is still smoke coming from exhaust manifold, it smells like its running horribly rich.
Facts:
Throttle cable detached to ensure it is not a throttle problem.
Thottle body plate is at idle position.
Any ideas HT??
