This is for the wideband kit with Bosch sensor.

If you are doing anything that modifies the ECU, fuel delivery, or going for FI setup, yes, you need this to squeeze all the juice.

How are these compared to those "innovate" or "innovation" or something like that wideband kit for like 375~475 with datalogging all in one w/o the use of a laptop? Can store data right into the display and upload later to laptop if need be. You know which one I'm talking about?

Someone sells that one on here also...

well, first advantage of the M-500 is that it is by default wireless, so you dont have wires running around from the controller to laptop.

secondly, PLX has several upgraded version of the software already so it gets better with so much new feature that you can overlay one graph on top of another. remember that M-500 can take up to 6 (maybe more) input channels.

this makes tuning much more convenient! i think that's it. hope this helps.

How do these work? Just screw in the o2 sensor, put the display in my car and go?

you're missing 1 step, and that's to wire the 12v (power) to the unit.. but yeah, that's pretty much it and you'll be able to read wideband a/f ratio straight..
