Default pre-oiling/lubing new motor

does anyone have a good way to preoil the oil pump, like a domestic they can use a drill where the distributor goes to spin the pump and lube everyting up prior to running.

Well during the assembly of engine components I usually use that STP oil additive stuff, it's thick and coats the componets well. Dunno about priming it like you're talking about, you could try and spin the oil pump cog/gear. If you coat it well enough prior to re-assembly. You should be able to spin it over a couple of times and get the system pressurized....(ecu fuse dissconected so that it doens't start).

When I installed my cams I put white lithium grease on them, but they're not in the combustion cylinder........

I use redline assembly lube on all components when I'm building a motor. If a god amount of assembly lube is used you can start it right up with no problems.

exactly.. there should be enough assembly grease on the bearings during the build to sustain a few seconds without oil...
