Fuel/Engine cleaner info
With the price of gas I wanted to throw this stuff out there.
I just ran 44k (fuel treatment) and SeaFoam (engine/intake/fuel) treatment through my 96 Accord 2.2 VTEC w/5spd.
The 44k runs about $20 a can (yes I said can) and I believe can only be found at dealorships. This stuff is so concentrated IT IS A MUST to run it on a full tank of gas. The guys at the Nissan dealorship told my buddy that all they did was run it through this truck and it boosted the gas mileage from 6 to 18mpg!!! I can vouch for it, the thing was much more responsive even with a very clogged fuel filter.
The seafoam (about $5 a can and available anywhere) can be run through pretty much anything. I ran it first through my oil before a routine change. That alone just made the car coast better and spool a little faster; wasn't on the gas near as much to maintain speed.
The best thing to do I think is run it through the brake booster line or some vaccuum hose on the intake. Heat it up, with it running suck it through the intake, shut it off, and wait 5 minutes then TRY to start it up. WATCH OUT!!! Your engine will smoke to high heavens while it burns all that crap out, we're talking dual plumes of smoke coming out of the exhaust for 10 ft. (neighbors called the fire department!) for a few minutes.
THIS STUFF WORKS!!! I just helped my buddy do a complete engine swap on his 96 Nissan Maxima with 186k miles on it. His intake was so much cleaner than the newer engine we put in it (56k miles) and I'm convinced its because of the SeaFoam. Shoot for $5 I'm doing it every oil change!
That's my two cents on how to beat gas prices AND help performance.
