I recently bought my first car- 93 lude vtec 4ws, im guessing im gona get negative response to this but:

My gear *** just wont come off. I twist but it feels like its gona break.
Am I being too ***** or do i just rip the basturd off?

 

Pull the boot down and off first, then twist the **** off.

 

....ok. from that reply, i must remove my boot then the gear *** will come off?
im living in new zealand. i dont know your lingo

 

lol, no boot is wat covers the shifter boot, remove that then twist off the shifter ***

 

Pull down on the boot and it will unsnap from the gear ****, then the gear **** will twist off.
