Why is it that the RSX gets no love from import tuners. I think it is a bad *** lookin car with a lot of potential. What do you guys think, why is the RSX unliked?

I don't think it's unloved by the aftermarket, it's just too new. Not only is it a brand new engine & chassis, but there aren't enough owners who are out of warrantee yet.

I understand that not everyone has the same taste and not everyone is going to love one car. It just seems to me that everyone looks at this new car as a fancy Civic. That all its good for is getting TP at the store. when I asked this one guy I work with what he thought he was like "stupid eono engine" and I was like what, 200 hp isn't that bad. Oh well I guess he eat his words the first time he get blown away buy a 320hp GReddy turbo RSX

I know a lot of people don't like the RSX because of its McPherson struts up front, the fact that it looks egg-shell thin, heavy(in comparison), and the fact that it is going to be hard for the aftermarket to release street legal headers and such out to the public.

I like the looks of the car myself, just not the direction that honda is going with its new stuff.

I am more then satisfied with the RSX and the reaction from import tuners. SEMA was practically all RSX, and manufacterers are coming out with stuff all the time. There are already more aftermarket parts to purchase for the RSX then the Celica and its been out for more then 2 years, and our car has been out for like 4 mths. This board just doesn't have to many rsx enthusiast on it, go to clubrsx.com and you will be surprised if you haven't already.

Personally, I'm disappointed in the decision to go with a strut suspension and the change in direction for the new car (i.e. more room, weight and luxury, less of a simple, sporty-yet-still-practical car for the masses). I don't think the RSX is really a fitting replacement for the Integra so much as it is a new entry-level Acura. I don't hate it, but I would never buy one.

Bottom line: The RSX is just not the kind of car I wanted to see replacing the Integra.

so what if they changed the suspension....give them some time, and they can get up to the level of BWM, and AMG tuning. If anything, those cars prove that you can do the a strut based front suspension. one thing though, their cars are RWD, so I'm not sure how good they can get it in FWD

I see your point, but the change to struts also is part of why the RSX has such a high cowl/hoodlinde compared to the Integra, which is a sore point with me since I prefer the low cowl/hoodline. I'm sure the aftermarket will come up with some nice suspension pieces and I don't doubt that handling will be acceptable, but the character of the car is irreversably changed, therefore I don't want one.

I'm not saying it's worthless, just that I would never buy one.

Dont worry, In my own opinion, there was a lot of ppl i know that didnt like the Gen 5th lude! PPl say the "headlights" look like an alien! It doesnt look right! That was back in.........around 97 when it came out!

Now everybody and there MOMMA whats one!

This WILL be the same turnaround! RSX is new, so @ first you will hear numerous comments! Seriously

Time will tell, then once a couple of years go by the RSX WILL be popluar! Then your going to recall "hey i didint like it before, but i like it now" Its a trend!!!!!

Once you follow OTHERS numerous negative commments, it will start to change after some time!

It's a glorified Civic, what more do you expect? On top of that, the "Type-S" is one of the reasons the new Si (also bland) is getting a 160hp engine instead of the Euro R engine.

ok the first time I saw the IS concept back in 98 I wanted one I thought they took it a bad direction at first but I got to say the exterior grows on you. I also dont like how the hoodline is much more high now than before looks more top heavy or Echo-ish I think that once the R comes to our shores in an unflooded version then around that time we will start to feel the wrath of some boosted type-s due to there then expired warrenty. If I could afford a type-s now I would get the JRSC asap and if they put it under the comptech name then we could see it on our cars installed by acura and w/o voiding warrente!
About the club RSX board so far on viewing that site all I see is a bunch of uneducated people that are ricers. (this is just the majority there are exceptions!)
sorry for rambling but i got carried away

they gave the new Si (I agree ugly) the 160hp so I won't be faster then the RSX. The same reason they gave the older Si the B16 instead of the B18. I don't care what anyone says about the RSX it is a nice car with I think a lot of potential

the 160hp 2.0l Civic hatch will also be released here in Europe, think it´ll be the new VTi, but the CTR has arrived earlier then that car, the new 160hp not expected until next spring...

lol prevluder
its slow? it should be equal if not faster than the lude by a small margin. Compared to the DC2, it's quicker. Type-S is the equivelent to the GSR so thats a big improvment therre
