Zdyne people.. Just put in my 3 bar map, running real rich, what to adjust
Just as the topic states, i wrote a great program for my turbo'd ZC but wanted to boost more so i put in my 3 bar map. Now it runs crazy rich, tried changing the volts and taking more fuel out of the map and it didn't seem to help, so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks
The injetors are 550's, but your not understanding something. It ran fine on the stock map with my 550 program. I put the 3 bar in and switched the program to a 3 bar map and it runs real rich. Now i need to know what to adjust.
If you are using a b16 3bar file,.550 injectors are 20% larger than the 450 table.Highlight the entire fuel table and take out 15% to be safe and it should be good.
well first off using a b16 file on a ZC would just be silly. I'm well aware of the 20% deal. If you'd read below, the program i wrote FOR THE 550's runs great with my stock map, BUT when i change the program to a 3 bar it runs extemely rich at idle, and i have it at the lowest fuel pulse setting the program will allow. So the question is why the 3 bar is making it run richer and how to lean it out without taking fuel out of the map cause i can't take anymore out. Are we on the same page now.
Also just incase you ask the fuel pressure is at 30psi at idle, the lowest i can put it with my AEM.

A friend of mine was using a GM 3 bar and it totally ran rich. I think he picked up a bunk one or something. Hopefully he'll chime in and let you know what his problem was becuase I believe it's fixed now.
