Default 92 prelude Engine Swap?

I got a 92 rearsteer prelude with a lot of miles on it. I dont even know what type of engine is in it (just bought it) i think its a 2.2 single overhead, again though, im not sure on that.

Ive been hitting up all the honda msg boards and ill guess ill just copy and paste my problem and questions here:

1328.1

I just bought a 92 rear steer SiR prelude with a lot of miles on it (almost 150 thousand). I work in a body shop and we are doing a lot of mods to it for shows, but i also want to show the engine and race it.

Someone told me that it is the b16 engine, one of the best honda engines in there, but its not vtech. Im wondering if i should spend the 900-1500 for a complete engine rebuild on this one or save the time and spend a bit more cash for a motor swap. I also have a few questions:

Are the engines from like H-motors online stock motors pulled out of junked cars? If i buy an engine i want it to be racing spec and mod ready (all forged, titanium, etc).

We want to keep this car around for adverstising purposes for as long as possible, so how is that high mileage going to effect the life and performance of the vehicle?

Ive also heard of problems swapping a usdm motor for a jdm. Any specifics on this would also be appreciated. So would links to websites that sell usdm and jdm engines.

i have an S and **** mine is damn near 200k on it. It still runs good probably not as good as i want it to but still. As for the swap lol...b16 motors are good for civic/crx that type deal and it certianly not the best but they are vtec, its proably the easiest cause its the most commonly done. But....if you wanna swap a prelude go for an H series motor like h23 (non-<U>vtec</U>) or the H22 (<U>vtec</U>). Most engines you will buy off the internet are in good condition they only have anywhere from 40-60k on them and werent run like dog ****. Try JHPUSA.com

If you have 4 wheel steering, it can ONLY have the H23 motor in it. You can swap in an H22 into it.

I think the closest thing you could get to a "built" motor(for a good price w/trans) would be to get a jdm h22 type s swap, an extra 25 horse power over usdm h22(plus I think it comes with a red valve cover!, awesome for show points )
