Default Help find something comparable to the D2 coilovers

I've been trying to get my hands on a set of D2 coilovers (adjustable ride height, adjustable dampening) because they're priced where I can afford them ($850 shipped roughly) but I can't find anyone in the US who still has them.

Is there anything comparable available for around the same price range ($750-$900). Adjustable ride hight is a must, dampening adjustment is definitely wanted. I just don't have the $1700 or whatever it costs for the Tein SS setup, but I don't want to put sleeve coilovers on stock shocks.

Any suggestions on something new to look at? Know any places still selling the D2's?

i just have my d2's installed 2 days ago. ride impression: smoother than my race springs-OEM strut combo.

front will go lower than 3", rear will only go down 1.5. brake brackets come separate, shop had to modify(thanx red zone). rear brake lines had to be zip-tied. watch out for camber plate alignment. mine were riveted upside down(thanx to redzone, they pressed them out and installed them the right way). get the rear camber rods as well(140). well for 850 at http://www.urbanimport.com (talk to mike), i can't complain. you get what you pay for.

1435.00 shipped for KW variant 2 shipped to norcal

1400.00 shipped for tein flex. check out ephatch.com under classifieds. <<<get these!

Well, UrbanImport.com is all out for the next 30-45 days (as of saturday). I don't want to wait that long to go to the track, summer will be half over :-( $1400 is $550 more than the $850 for the D2's. I don't think I have that kind of money. I want to find the best I can get for $900 or under, I'm really limited by a budget. I appreciate the suggestions, any more?

Strange, they told me $950 for just the coilovers shipped from the port. How does that work?

Have you considered a matched koni/ground control setup?

I don't know about adjustable coilovers. I've heard bad things about them. What do you guys think? I'd just stick to 17" rims and dropping the car to 1.5" with a camber kit (Eibach prob. the best).

Hey bro the Tein SS sell for around $900.00 plus shipping, and the Tein Flex go for around 1500.00 plus shipping. Just look around. Sometime it is best to save up a extra few hundred dollars to get a better set up which you will not regret lated in the future.

You can try http://www.i-m-racing.com, and a few other sites. Or just pm MIKE M on this forum. He might be able to give you a good deal.
