Default axels

I would like to turbo my car next summer. This guy in my shop who does some things with cars says that i will snap my axels within a week of turbo. I would like to know if he is full of **** or not. I don't know enough about stock specs to know if he is. But i don't ever pop my clutch and do burnouts and **** like that. All i know that i actually will need is a new clutch and LSD. So am i goin to be alright with the stock axels?

i doubt correcting his spelling is gonna help answer his question. you have a few things to consider when talking about a turbo application. are you gonna race it, or just have fun on the street. if you are racing it and are gonna make big power, i'd swap in some stronger ones. if you're just gonna have fun on the street, then stock axles will be fine. i've had friends who made over 400whp and never broke an axle.

What a buddy of mine did and what I did is go to advanced auto parts or midas and purchase refurbished axles... they come with a lifetime warranty so if you happen to snap them or anything happens to them take em off take them back to aap or midas and they will get you new ones! My buddy returned 3 axles in one month!

If you are drag racing or road racing you should consider upgrading your axles. Amongest other factors, it depends on whether or not you can easily change them out yourself or not. I recommend Raxles highly. Marty is a GREAT guy, I have never heard anything bad about them, and they are sooo purdy.
