1 lbs. an Inch is normally a decent Wheel weight....esp a HONDA stock wheel.

8.8kg (19.36lbs) to be exact actually. Yes they are quite heavy for a 17x7 wheel, that is why I am looking at going with either the MF10's in 17x8" (6.8kg) or the Volk CE28n 17x7.5" (6.6kg).

They are cast wheels and not forged, thus the excess weight. They do look nice though.

****! I love em,..I'd buy em just on they way they look.

I'm just real big on a Stock wheel honestly.I'm kinda getting out of aftermarket wheels(ie. Mugen/Spoon/Volk etc).I really want it to look like they came on the car!
<--mid life crisis i guess

only 25

na,.I guess w/ how I've setteled down in the past 2 years...and I also don't honestly get out much anymore(after moving in w/ Girlfriend almost 1 year ago) seems that my life has slowed down.

Buying the R is the best purchase I've made in awhile (next to my Second JDM conversion and installing it myself).

I would still buy a set of RSZ-R's or 15" Te-37's in a heartbeat though.
My 2 favs,...but I'm dying to get some JDM ITR 16's.(not the lightest of the bunch either) But i'm in love w/ them!
I fell in love after I saw this pic.(i lowered it a tad*Ghetto Photochop skills)

I love that my car comes with 15" version of the above pic, wheels just go so well with the car. CW with those rims is my ideal choice.

28 am I am still a little kid, NO DOUBT!

Gotta luv New Zealand, they get all the JDM spec cars real cheap, while here in Australia, we get a watered down version and get charged a premium

NZITR - which do you prefer, DC2R or DC5R? Especially since you get to sample the real deal?

Hey man have you ever considered going to the EP3 CTR rims over the ITR rims.

I always dug the CTR rims over the ITR rims, looks nicer in my opinion.

In regards to weight probably the same?

Though I am sure you will probably go for some nice light aftermarket set. Though I think the Mugens would be a better option 17x8 @ 6.8 vs the Volks You get an extra .5 of an inch for only 0.2 more kg

nice brakes.. Unfortunatly I don't have the ends to join the ITR club, so for now I'll have to deal with my LS turbo... I've seen some really nice lip spoilers, very subtle and classy.. does anyone have any pics and a tip on where to find? Also, I need a wing, but the one's I've seen are gaudy.. I like low and tight.. I don't want an ITR wing because it's not an ITR.. and I think it's a little big. thanks.

The EP3 rims are hot, but I think they also are heavy. Don't know the actual weight on them, maybe they are lighter. In a mag a few months back the EP3R actually could outbrake the DC5R and the EP3 doesn't have the Brembos front or rear like the DC5. Hmmmm?! Maybe they are lighter, less rotational mass perhaps, because the EP3 is heavier by like 45lbs with no extras, but up to 66lbs with AC.

I am heavily leaning towards the Mugens, because of their weight, looks and my past Hondas have also worn Mugen boots. RNRs and MF8s.

As soon as you get your Mugens, sell me your ITRs.

Well my DC2R was nicely tweaked with Bilstein suspension, JDM 4-1/Trust PE II and Mugen Intake and my JDM DC5R is stock apart from KG/MM springs so it's a slightly imbalanced comparison... but here goes:

Handling/Chassis wise DC5R feels more solid and stable and the DC2R feels more lively but wayward. Overall some would like one and some would like like the other. DC5R feels like the front end will never let go but DC2R felt more adjustable. I find my self able to drive faster without needing the same concentration levels. FYI steering on JDM DC5R feels much nicer that export DC5R.

Motorwise the DC5R feels fairly torquey but still has a nice top end. I always thought my DC2R was pretty flexible but the DC5R has more zing out of corners. DC5R feels pretty restricted by intake and exhaust compared to my DC2R. I've toyed with putting aftermarket parts but I'm not sure I want to start modifying it. DC5R does suffer in traffic due to it's engine bay air pickup.. still can't work out why Honda did that.

Gearbox on the DC2R had nicer feel but the DC5R isn't too bad. 6 Speed and nicely spaced ratios definately help. Factory lightweight flywheel is nice too.

Comfort and feature wise it's DC5R hands down. It's easier to live with on a day to day basis but I never really found my DC2R a problem.

Mostly I feel happy about changing over but I still have fond memories of my old car.

Cheers.

Hey mate,

Can any of you guys from New Zealand or Australia or wherever help me out on something? It's for the 92-95 Civic hatchbacks (EG). I'm trying to figure out wich series the black bumpers with the black moldings came on. I've seen one VTi ever have them and I've seen two GLi's have them. But on every other VTi and GLi, they never had them. So I'm now confused on which cars they come on. I appreciate allt he help.

Pretty sure that the EP3 CTR rims are quite a bit heavier than the DC5R ones Positive is that the offset (+45) is good for a DC2R as opposed to the offset on the DC5R rims (+60)

Personally I would stick to 16" on a DC2R and try to keep the weight as low as possible.
